Legendary French electronic producer Jean-Michel Jarre has released his staggering 19th album Electronic Part 1: The Time Machine. The new age album features collaborations with collaborations with an eclectic mix of artists including Armin van Buuren, Boys Noize, Moby, Pete Townshend, M83, Lang Lang, Gesaffelstein and others

The 16-track is a bit all over the place, but fits with the current EDM climate of major name brand collaborations. It can listen like a compilation of singles rather than a complete album at times, but there are clear highlights when Jarre is able to steer the collaboration into the direction that fits the overall theme of this project. This music fits with the Jean-Michel Jarre persona that is known for big production, fireworks and pyramid performances.

This is only part one what is to be a two-part album for the Frenchman, which will boast over thirty collaborations in total. Part 2 is expected at some point in the spring.
