French electronic producer Mr. Oizo, aka Quentin Dupieux, has returned with a new EP entitled Hand in the Fire. The four-track release features British singer songwriter Charli XCX on the title song, two solo tracks, and an instrumental version of "Hand in the Fire." The whole EP is available to stream or download via Ed Banger Records' SoundCloud. Listen below.

The new EP is largely in the same vein as the French house and techno producer's 2014 full-length album The Church.

As Stereogum reports, XCX had been teasing the track for about a month. "Hand in the Fire" manages to show off Mr. Oizo's mastery of pop production while further demonstrating the singer's range. The catchy song is pop-inclined yet punk-inspired and somehow manages to transition toward trap in the end of the composition.

Charli XCX, born Charlotte Aitchison, has become a master collaborator over the years since breaking onto the scene with 2013's True Romance. While she most famously worked with Icona Pop on "I Love It" and Iggy Azalea on "Fancy," the Cambridge, England-born singer recently collaborated with PC music producer SOPHIE on "Vroom Vroom."

When speaking about her plans for new music, Aitchison has recently compared her forthcoming album to Paris Hilton's music. The star told The Mirror she's "been really inspired by Paris Hilton, small dogs and a glitter, luxe lifestyle." While she's never met Hilton, they've been at a few of the same events including the Cannes Film Festival this past year. Aitchison added "I was performing and I saw her singing along to my song and I freaked out. I'm such a fan and one of my favorite songs ever is 'Stars Are Blind'-- it's pop genius."

NME reports that XCX has also revealed that she has been writing for Rihanna.
