Rap duo Run The Jewels brought the house down during their scintillating performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last week. The 5-song concert was the latest highlight for the pair, which is composed of New York-born producer, El-P, and Atlanta-based rapper, Killer Mike.

They opened with a searing rendition of “Run the Jewels,” the self-titled song featured on their eponymous 2013 debut album. The bombastic, high energy track, which featured an impressive live-scratching solo, whipped the crowd into a frenzy.

Following that, the two shifted gears, performing the soulful, psychedelic "Crown" from their 2014 follow-up album, Run the Jewels 2. Accompanied by a trio of backup vocalists, the song was a nice change of pace. As NME notes, it was the first time the two performed the track in front of a live audience.

Off camera, the duo also performed three additional hits: "Oh My Darling Don't Cry," "Close You Eyes (And Count to F**k)" and "Blockbuster Night" for the fans in attendance at Jimmy Kimmel's outdoor stage.

2015 has been a huge year for the duo. This Kimmel performance comes hot on the heels of the duo's equally impressive showing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert together with rock band TV on the Radio this past September.

The two also garnered much attention for the surprise release of Meow the Jewels, a remixed version of Run the Jewels 2 made entirely with, as the title suggests, cat noises. Originally conceived as a Kickstarter funded endeavor, the project raised over $60,000 from an original goal of $40,000. The duo released it for free this past September.

For 2016, the pair is looking to release a third full length album, Run the Jewels 3. In October, El-P told DIYmag: "As soon as I get home, we start Run the Jewels 3. We've already started some of the production. That's what we're doing all next year until it's done.
