Wolfgang Gartner has been very quiet over the past two years, only releasing a handful of songs and pulling back his tour dates to a very low number compared to some of his contemporaries who do close to 200 gigs a year. There has been rumblings of a new album for a few months, but three weeks ago he at last announced that the LP would be released this Friday, Jan. 29. Now he has officially unveiled the complete tracklist and title for the Weekend In America follow-up, 10 Ways To Steal Home Plate.
Taking a look down the tracklist, fans will only recognize two singles that have been released. There is an extended mix of his 2014 single "Unholy" and his electro-rap track "Turn Up" featuring Wiley & Trina, which combines his glitch, complex electro with some grime and hip-hop.
The rest of the EP has a few big names throughout the album including A-Trak and E-40 on the aptly titled "Hurricane Slurricane." It is clear that this album is going to be quite different from what Wolfgang was doing in the past.
Wolfgang put together a succinct five minute preview of the 10-track album, mashing together all 10 tracks into one continuous listen so fans can check out short clips of each track one after the other.
