Scotland's largest festival T In The Park has announced its 2016 lineup. The July festival will be headlined by The Stone Roses, Disclosure, Calvin Harris, The 1975, Bastille, Red Hot Chili Peppers and LCD Soundsystem.

The Friday lineup is headlined by Manchester rock band The Stone Roses. They were popular in the 1980s and 1990s until they broke up after their appearance at Reading Festival in 1996. They announced they were reuniting in 2011. They have done a few festival and arena gigs over the past five years including Isle of Wight Festival and Coachella.

That Friday, The Stone Roses will be joined by Disclosure, Courteneers, Jamie xx, James Morrison, Frightened Rabbit, Oh Wonder, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Bear's Den and others.

Saturday will be headlined by local DJ turned international superstar Calvin Harris, who has made T In The Park a frequent visit on his summer festival circuit. Harris will headline alongside Bastille, The 1975, The Last Shadow Puppets, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Jess Glynne, Kaiser Chiefs, Tinie Tempah and others.

Sunday will have the biggest proportion of major artists with Red Hot Chili Peppers and LCD Soundsystem - two acts who could top a lineup a night at any festival this year -- co-headlining the night, taking the stage with Faithless, Major Lazer, James Bay, Craig David's TS5, Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls, Jake Bugg and more.

There are still more artists still to be announced including those who will occupy the Slam Tent.

T In The Park will return to its home in the fields outside of Strathallan Castle in Perthshire, Scotland. Tickets and camping passes are on sale now with ranging prices depending on how long you want to stay there.
