UK festival Bestival has announced the first wave of acts on its 2016 lineup. The four-day festival that takes place annually off the southern coast of England on Isle of Wight will be headlined by The Cure, Major Lazer, Hot Chip and one other still yet-to-be-named act.

The lineup includes a variety of artists across rock, hip-hop, pop and electronic music.

Electronic music will be represented by a variety of different acts like Eats Everything, Skream, Black Madonna, Bicep, Richie Hawtin and Katy B, who will release a new album this year.

There is a sprinkling of hip-hip throughout the lineup including Skepta and Section Boyz. Rock will be led by The Cure with additional names like Animal Collective, who will tour on their upcoming album, Bastille and Wolf Alice.

Festival organizer Rob Da Bank speaks highly of headliner The Cure, describing them via The Independent as "one of my favorite bands ever. [They] played Bestival five years ago and almost had to be dragged off stage after a three-hour mammoth greatest hits set. Robert Smith popped down last year and we shook hands on it all happening again - bring it on."

A few pop acts make it onto the bill as well like MO and Years & Years.

In addition to the lineup, Bestival is going with a new theme of the future.

Last year's edition was topped by The Chemical Brothers, Duran Duran and Missy Elliot

Bestival will take place from Sept. 8-11 at Robin Hill Country Park on Isle of Wight. More artists will be announced in the coming months. General admission and VIP passes are on sale now through the festival's website.
