Fault In Our Stars was a box office hit this weekend and according to Billboard, the film has a killer soundtrack to go along with it.  

The magazine's site reports that the soundtrack, which was released 17 days ahead of the film's June 6 opening by Atlantic Records, has already sold more than 48,000 copies. 

Sales tallies show that Fault In Our Stars is the second-biggest-selling soundtrack for a film released in 2014. 

Divergent is No. 1 with 79,000 units sold. 

Frozen, although released in 2012, has moved a whopping 2.5 million so far this year. 

The Fault soundtrack features music by British singer Birdy, who as two songs in the film and an extra track on the deluxe edition of the soundtrack. 

"We had five big slots where the studio was willing to replace temp tracks with music," says Kevin Weaver, Atlantic Records Group president film and TV. "[Birdy's] sound and her voice fit so well with what the story is about. It feels like we have something with cultural significance." 

The soundtrack also features new music by Atlantic artists Ed Sheeran, Charli XCXGrouplove and Lykke Li.  

Videos were created to accompany each track. 

Charli XCX's "Boom Clap" is being serviced to radio, in addition to plays in the prerelease trailer, while Sheeran's "All of the Stars" will be featured in a new TV spot.  

Fault In Our Stars is an on screen adaptation of John Green's novel about two teenagers living with cancer.
