German trance icon Paul van Dyk has been in the hospital for the past week recovering from a very scary fall at A State of Trance 750 in Utrecht, Holland. He was performing on the main stage at the large trance one night festival hosted by Armin van Buuren and fell from an elevated stage. According to a new update from the Paul van Dyk team, it was revealed that he is conscious and in recovery. He suffered a cracked vertebrae and sustained a concussion.

In a Facebook post, Van Dyk's team shared the good news that he is now awake and now recovering. "We'd like to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for everyone's overwhelming support for PvD this past week. We have very good news to report as Paul is fully conscious and now under normal care."

They then gave more exact details on his condition and that they expect him to fully recover from his injuries.

"Paul did sustain a concussion and cracked vertebrae. Though he must remain under hospital care while his condition improves, we expect Paul to recover fully from his injuries. PvD deeply appreciates your support and looks forward to touring again as soon as possible."

Paul van Dyk's future tour dates have been canceled indefinitely, but we look forward to seeing the German back on stage with his radiant smile and infinite energy in front of crowds all over the world soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with him, his family and friends now and hope for a speedy recovery.
