Kygo went peak tropical on Sunday night, performing at the closing ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. The "Stole The Show" producer took the stage in pretty heavy rain to perform his Cloud Nine single "Carry Me" with the help of featured singer Julia Michaels in front of the tens of thousands on hand at Rio de Janeiro's Maracana Stadium and many millions more watching at home around the world.

Kygo stands in one spot, seemingly unperturbed by the rain, playing a large keyboard and small synth that trigger most of the effects in the track. Michaels moves around the stage in a green jumpsuit, singing the vocals to "Carry Me."

Towards the end of the song, the two musicians are joined by Kaori Icho of Japan, Yusra Mardini of the Refugee Olympic Team and Syria, Arthur Mariano of Brazil, Shaunae Miller of Bahamas and the oily man, Pita Taufatofua of Tonga for a little dance session.

For such a big stage, Kygo did not seem nervous at all and Julia Michaels didn't miss a beat. The video board featured a total mix of people from all over the world smiling and dancing.

In a Tweet, Kygo extoled the experience as "such an honor."

The full performance is available to view on the new digital Olympic Channel platform that Kygo is helping to launch. Watch it here on their website.
