Pandora has named Questlove as a new strategic advisor and it's first-ever artist ambassador for the brand. In addition to the new titles, The Roots drummer will get his own three-hour show titled Questlove Supreme curated and produced by the artist. The weekly show will feature music from across the globe, plus interviews with people from all of the entertainment industry.

"Questlove is one of the most talented and influential artists of our time," said Tim Westergren, founder and CEO of Pandora in a statement. "His near encyclopedic knowledge of the theory and history of music and his abiding passion for supporting artists of all kinds is a perfect match for our mission. We're thrilled to have his expertise and counsel, and to share his talents, insights and love of music with our over 78 million listeners."

"I see in Pandora both a deep respect for the craft of music and a commitment to the musicians that make it their living. When Tim introduced me to the Music Genome Project, and explained its origin and how he and his team developed it, I was blown away," says Questlove. "Pandora is a company born of a musician's experience, and I'm very excited to join them in their mission to create a healthy and vibrant industry for artists and fans alike."

Pandora is reportedly looking to launch its own streaming service as soon as next month. The company bought much maligned service Rdio last year for $75 million, prompting speculation that the company would then launch an on-demand service to add to its digital radio offering. The launch date of this streaming service has been unknown, but a recent report in the Wall Street Journal suggests it could come as soon as next month if all goes according to plan. With Questlove providing advice, they may have a shot at competing with Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL and Amazon who is reportedly reading to enter the arena.

Check out Questlove's radio station here. The first episode will premiere on Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. EST. The first guest will be Maya Rudolph. Other announced guests include Kimbra and engineer Bob Power.
