For the second time, LoveLoud Festival partnered with Lyft to draw thousands of people to help raise over $1 million in support of the LGBT youth.

This year's LoveLoud Festival took place in Salt Lake City, Utah. Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds launched the festival last year. The money generated from the ticket sales of the festival will benefit both local and national LGBTQ organizations in Utah.

Dan Reynolds Talks LoveLoud Festival

Lyft also participated in the event. The ride-sharing service provider donated $5 for every ride to the festival where the code "LoveLoud" was used. Dan Reynolds opened up about the successful music event and said that his passion to support the LGBTQ youth community came from the people of Utah.

"The people and the community want to love our LGBTQ youth. Period. And that's the goal of LoveLoud. We're not trying to change doctrine. We know we can't change orthodox religion. I don't claim to be able to do something like that. My mom said to me, 'What do you think, you're gonna change the Mormon church?' No. But I know enough Mormons, and I believe in the hearts of people enough that, if we all talk, I think they'll realize we need to do better and we need to change," said Reynolds.

Lance Lowry, the executive director of LoveLoud Foundation, also expressed his happiness over how far the festival has gone. He said that last year they could not even find a venue and sponsors. A year later, everything has worked well for the charity.

LoveLoud Festival Attendees, Performers

This year, about 30,000 people attended the LoveLoud Festival. Reynolds said that the foundation's goal is to eventually no longer hold the festival just so the members of the LGBTQ community feel they are loved and accepted.

LoveLoud Festival last weekend featured performances by Zedd, Mike Shinoda, Grace Vanderwaal, Tyler Glenn, Vagabon, and A.W. Cameron Esposito hosted the two-day festival.
