The game is definitely not over for goth rock band, Evanescence, as they release the sophomore single from their forthcoming album, "The Bitter Truth." The new song, titled "The Game Is Over," still showcases Amy Lee's signature powerful vocals.

The Game Is Over

"Had enough time kneeling, I've had enough of denial," the song opens. Rolling Stone describes "The Game Is Over" as a song that rejects unfair rules, while building the strength to walk away.

The chorus starts with: "Change me into something I believe in." Amy Lee goes on to sing, "Change me, so I don't have to pretend/Sweet words, they mean nothing/They're not true 'cause the game is over."

In a statement, Lee said the song is about being 'sick of the facade.' She was referring to the "disguises we wear for others to make them feel comfortable" and "the inside feelings being so different than what we show on the outside" just to fit the socially acceptable boundaries.
