Drakeo the Ruler's son served a $60 million wrongful death lawsuit on the table.

Nearly two months since Drakeo the Ruler was killed before his performance at a Los Angeles concert, his son submitted a wrongful death lawsuit against Live Nation. The damaging lawsuit was filed on behalf of his 5-year-old son, Caiden Caldwell, through his mother, Tianna Purtue.

The document alleged that the company's Once Upon a Time in LA lacked safety measures, and it, unfortunately, caused the fatal stabbing of his father in December.

Vulture noted that, aside from Live Nation, the event's co-promoters have also been named in the filing, including Bobby Dee Presents, C3 Presents, and Jeff Shuman. The Los Angeles Football Club, which owns the concert venue, was also named as one of the defendants.

"They were completely knowledgeable of the potential dangers posed to both their guests and the performers they hired based on numerous past incidents of violence and death at their hip hop events," the document said.

The lawsuit also mentioned Travis Scott's Astroworld Festival, which alarmed people about safety and security risks. It was held a month before Drakeo the Ruler's death.

What Happened to Drakeo the Ruler?

The same filing recalled what truly happened to Drakeo the Ruler - whose real name was Darrell Wayne Caldwell.

According to the lawsuit, more than 100 gang members surprisingly got access to a restricted area of the venue and continuously made unprevented attacks toward the rapper for 10 minutes. Drakeo the Ruler only had one security guard who was not allowed to carry a weapon on the concert grounds.

Caiden's lawyers said that there should have been more security staff to ensure the safety of the artists, especially since those people responsible for the rapper's death easily gained access to every corner of the venue.

The $60 million lawsuit comprises $25 million noneconomic damages for losing his father, $25 million economic damages since Drakeo the Ruler was the family's provider, and $10 million for the rapper's suffering before succumbing.

Drakeo the Ruler horrifyingly got stabbed when a fight broke out backstage. According to the initial reports released by the Los Angeles Police Department, they received a call about a man about 30 years old who was stabbed around 8:40 p.m.
