The world of music is mourning the death of Taylor Hawkins as many celebrities and musicians have been paying tribute to the late drummer following his unexpected passing.

Days before he died on March 25, his band, Foo Fighters, performed at the Lollapalooza Festival at the Buenos Aires' Hipódromo de San Isidro in Argentina.

According to E! Online, the band performed many of their classics like "Learn to Fly" and "The Pretender."

Frontman Dave Grohl expressed his gratitude to the drummer before switching places on stage. The former Nirvana member played the drums while Hawkins sang in a performance.

Grohl said his pal is "the best f****** drummer in the world."

"We love him so much. But here's the thing. You haven't seen his pants yet. You wanna see Taylor Hawkins' pants?!" the frontman said before the drummer stood up, revealing his striped leggings.

The singer then started drumming while his pal hyped the audience singing Queen's "Somebody to Love."

This isn't the first time Hawkins sang the track, as it has been a staple since last year.

What Was Taylor Hawkins' Cause of Death?

Last Friday, March 25, Hawkins died in his hotel room in Bogota, Colombia, hours before the band was set to perform a show as part of their current tour.

According to the Colombian Attorney General's Office, toxicology results showed that the drummer had drugs in his system. However, the official cause of death has not been released yet.

The organization took to Twitter to issue a statement, saying Hawkins' body had ten types of substances, including marijuana, benzodiazepines, opioids, and marijuana.

They also assured fans and his family that the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences will continue to achieve full clarification of the "Facts that led to the death."

An investigation regarding his passing will continue, and they will report the results in the near future.

Music Legends Pay Tribute to Taylor Hawkins After His Death

After their member's death, Foo Fighters issued a statement saying they were devastated by the untimely loss, and his musical spirit will live with them forever.

"Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family," they wrote before asking fans for privacy.

Queen guitarist Brian May also shared his thoughts about Hawkins' death, saying he's heartbroken because the drummer had been a family to their band.
