Was he triggered by his ex Camila Cabello to focus on his own love life? After cancelling his tours to focus on his mental health -- which he started by going to the beach and having fun, reports had it that he joined the world of dating too.

The timing is quite suspect though, because Camila Cabello just confirmed her relationship with Austin Kevitch, the CEO of the dating app Lox Club.

It can be remembered how steamy the romance between Cabello and Mendes was, so much so that fans believe they'll last together forever.

What makes Shawn Mendes's decision to start dating quite interesting is that he has has joined the celebrity dating service Raya, the rival dating app of Lox Club, which has been branded the "Jewish Raya."

The Sun reports that the 24-year-old musician has linked his official Instagram account to the profile, which features a number of photographs of himself, a waterfall, a self-help book about relaxation, and the song Bandana by Fireboy DML & Asake.

Lox Group describes itself as an exclusive dating club for Jews (and non-Jews) with absurdly high criteria.

According to the app, members must undergo an extremely stringent screening procedure before being permitted access.

This means Camilla Cabello's new BF is taking the romance business seriously.

The website states, "Our membership committee vets every applicant to decide if they're the right fit for our community. If accepted, every new member pays a membership fee to ensure they're joining for the right reasons."

When Cabello and CEO were observed strolling together in Los Angeles in June, rumors and speculations began to circulate that they were maybe dating.

On Sunday, though, their expressions of love and care for one another validated the allegations.

Camila's new love comes to light while her ex-boyfriend, Shawn, spends time in Miami after canceling the remainder of his tour dates to focus on his mental health.

Following their 2019 collaboration on their second single, "Senorita," Mendes and Cabello started to date.

Before this however, the pair had known each other for years and had released a track together already, called "I Know What You Did Last Summer."

After sppearing as close friends only, the two eventually come clean about the true nature of their relationship.

In 2021, after two years of dating, Shawn posted a sweet photo of the couple with the comment, "Happy 2 years my baby."

In October 2021, the former Fifth Harmony member discussed the strain of their relationship being continuously in the spotlight with Glamour.

One month later, in November, the couple decided to separate and posted an Instagram announcement of their decision.

Mendes was the one who "started" the talk, according to a Cabello insider who spoke to E! Online hours after the breakup news broke, since things were "becoming boring and comfortable" between the couple. According to this source, Cabello was "extremely sad about the split" but "agreed" it was the correct decision. This article corroborated a source's statement to People that the romance "simply fizzled."

On December 1, just two weeks after the revelation of the breakup, Mendes was the one who released a breakup song. It is unknown whether "It'll Be Okay" was recorded before, during, or after Mendes' separation with Cabello, but the song's lyrics are clear that he was singing about an impending split. It made it clear though that Mendes does not harbol ill feelings toward Cabello and that he love her forever.
