Idina Menzel stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (Sept. 28) to talk about her new children's book, Loud Mouse, with the talk show host. Fallon, on the other hand, managed to slip in a question about the possibility of a Frozen 3 film.

"We had Kristen Bell on the show not too long ago, and she unofficially confirmed, with no backing or no truth to it that Frozen 3 is happening," he says to Menzel, who replied with jest "I can unofficially claim with no backing that there will be a Frozen 4 and 5. The triology and then the quadrupoly or whatever its called!"

Fallon continued by gushing about how much he enjoyed the 2019 follow-up to the well-known Disney movie and saying he'd "love" to see a third one with Menzel returning as Elsa.

Menzel laughed and said she would love it because she naturally wants to earn more, as she has to pay for her son's tuition.

She then said, jokingly again, "I would ... like to officially announce ... with zero authority ... Frozen 3," before adding, "Please bear in mind, I did say 'zero authority' 'cause I can't do that. I can't do that, no, I'm not in charge. At all."

Menzel provides Elsa's recognizable voice in the films "Frozen" and "Frozen 2." In addition to singing the songs in the "Frozen" movies, Menzel has performed the songs on stages all over the world, including the Oscars, where each song was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song.

As Elsa, she is the voice behind the two most recognizable songs from both the original and sequels: "Let It Go" and "Into the Unknown."

The winning song was "Let It Go," while Rocketman's "(I'm Gonna) Love Me Again" triumphed over "Into the Unknown."

Bell and Menzel have both shown interest in reprising their roles as Anna and Elsa in a Frozen 3 if it were to be produced by Disney. Even without an official third installment, the Frozen series continues to be one of Disney's most well-liked, particularly in theme parks.

Frozen received praise for veering away from the traditional Disney theme of romantic love and constructing a tale centered on sibling love.

Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell's portrayals of Elsa and Anna defy the Disney cliche that says women need a man to save them and instead demonstrate how their kinship is much stronger than any romantic attachment.

The movie is usually compared to Disney's adaptation of Rapunzel, "Tangled," which launched a new age of Disney princesses, who are not boy-crazy, or romance-focused.

Naturally, a "Frozen 3" would be greatly appreciated for such empowering messages.
