Castles are crumbling in Scooter Braun's empire as his longtime clients slash artists like Demi Lovato, Idina Menzel, and Ariana Grande march out.

The drama began when rumors of Justin Bieber ending his management contract with Braun circulated on the internet. The initial rumors were debunked, however, more popped up.

According to reports, though, the reason behind the sudden "exodus" might have something to do with Braun acquiring Taylor Swift's masters for her first six albums via his purchase of Big Machine Record Group, Swift's first record label.

He later sold the "Anti-Hero" singer's catalog to Shamrock Holdings for about $300 million.

There are conflicting reports on what is really happening behind the scenes with the manager and his artists, so the details are still very murky as of this writing.

Did Ariana Grande Really Leave Scooter Braun?

One of the most prominent questions right now revolving this ever-evolving issue is whether or not Grande really did end her contract with Braun.

TMZ reported that she did not. In fact, they claim that Grande and Bieber are still very much clients of Braun, and the manager is even upgrading his status and salary thanks to HYBE America.

Braun is eyeing the CEO position at HYBE America, the American counterpart of the South Korean entertainment company that manages KPOP supergroup BTS.

"All of Scooter Braun's clients are under contract and negotiations have been going on for several months as Scooter steps into his larger role as HYBE America CEO," said an insider about the matter.

"People are spreading rumors based on what they know, but they are off. Scooter's team at SB Projects are still handling both Justin and Ariana as they work through what this new structure looks like."

On the other hand, a more recent report by People magazine revealed that Grande had indeed left Braun's management after 10 years.

"They are friendly but she's outgrown him and is excited to go in a different direction," a different source claimed. "Yes there are negotiations happening because of contracts. But this is her choice. It's time for something new."
