The memoir "Open Book" by Jessica Simpson will be made into a television series.

Amazon Freevee has acquired a half-hour scripted pilot based on the 2020 book by the "I Wanna Love You Forever" singer.

Butch is an older musician who is tasked with writing songs for Sadie, and John Stamos has been cast in the role. The two quickly developed a closer bond.

The logline says, the whole project will follow Sadie's life in "mid-twenties rise from ingenue to mogul", with themes that involve experiences including "love, friendship, divorce, family and sisterhood, relationships, soul connections, Hollywood, and the music business".

Throughout the course of the narrative, Sadie will realize that her heart will always desire what it desires. "Open Book" which was published by Dey Street Books, detailed Simpson's childhood in 1980s Texas, her first record deal, her marriage to Nick Lachey, and her connection with John Mayer, among other topics. Tom Kapinos is the pilot's writer and executive producer, and Adam Bernstein is both the project's director and executive producer. Simpson signed a multi-media rights deal with Amazon Studios in December 2020.

Jessica Simpson has recently been candid about the impact of the constant criticism of her weight. In a recent interview with "Extra," reporter Terri Seymour asked the actor if she has become accustomed to the continual focus on her weight. Of course not, she said.

When she made her acting debut in the 2005 comedy "The Dukes of Hazzard," she remembers receiving instruction from a Hollywood star. "Lynda Carter warned me on the set of 'Dukes of Hazzard,'" she shared. "She was like, 'I will always be Wonder Woman and compared to Wonder Woman, and that's what you're doing here as Daisy Duke. Just know the words 'Daisy Duke' will follow you for the rest of your career.'" Simpson continued.

The singer revealed that she has been criticized, and it hurts, but she's been every weight and proud of it. Daisy Duke was a waitress at a local pub in the film and CBS television series of the same name. Her characteristic attire consisted of jean shorts and a crop top.
