In his reaction to Takeoff's death, Offset has canceled a Boston performance. At least that is what fans think he's doing. It's not clear whether his new album, slated to drop November 11, will push through. Some think he should despite Takeoff's passing; but others think that would feel like he's taking advantage of the tragedy.

But then, the solo album was long announced - long before Quavo and Takeoff said Offset is out of the Migos group.

Many have speculated that the group Migos had disbanded before they actually did. This is because Atlanta rappers began releasing solo music at the beginning of the summer. After Quavo and Takeoff debuted their "Hotel Lobby" duet in May, and the song quickly peaked at number 58 on the Billboard Hot 100, Offset followed suit. Offset eventually began releasing solo music with his "54321" track last month.

Soon after, he released the track "Code" starring Moneybagg Yo. In September, Offset revealed on Twitter that a new solo album will be out on November 11. However, the official title, cover art, and track listing have not yet been published. This will be the second solo album by Offset. Back in February of 2019, he released "Father Of 4."

Some are calling for Offset this time, saying he must be feeling hurt beyond words.

This album debuted at number four in the United States, led by the single "Clout" starring Cardi B. Additionally, in October of 2017, he released the album "Without Warning" alongside 21 Savage and Metro Boomin.

Faze Clan was slated to host an event at MGM Music Hall with the Atlanta rapper. According to reports, the event will proceed as planned, albeit without Offset. Although no explanation has been provided, it seems likely that his cancellation was a direct result to the tragic passing of Offset's Migos bandmate and relative Takeoff.

On November 10, another concert is scheduled in their hometown of Atlanta, but it is unknown whether he will play there.

The news of Takeoff's demise came at a terrible time, as Migos had apparently disbanded months prior.

Takeoff and the third member of the group, Quavo, had just released a joint album, while Offset was working on his own solo effort. In interviews, Takeoff and Quavo expressed hope that they could reconcile, but they also insisted that they would continue performing as a pair for the foreseeable future, while only hinting at the root of their rift.

Offset has not yet issued a public statement, however he did recognize Takeoff's passing on social media by changing his Instagram profile portrait to a photo of his deceased groupmate.
