A nurse who attempted to save Migos rapper TakeOff after he was wounded in downtown Houston reported that there was nothing she could do. She then detailed the "agonising" last minutes she witnessed of the rapper's life after he was shot.

Takeoff Shooting - What the People Heard

The infusion nurse, who wished to remain anonymous, resides close to the bowling alley where TakeOff attended a private party and was afterwards shot outside the establishment. She said she lives nearby and she heard several gunshots went off.

"Pow pow pow pow pow,: and then it stopped, which made her think it was strange. She felt compelled to step out even if she has already changed to her pyjamas.

She walked to the balcony and asked her neighbours if they heard the same thing. They all responded in the affirmative.Since she felt it was not some car or fireworks that made the sounds, she knew they were gunshots. The nurse said she observed people fleeing and believed there was an active shooter, so she did not want to leave, but as the situation calmed, she heard a scream.

Takeoff Dead, Quavos in Agony

"I'm thinking that's the victim. That's the person who's shot," she said. "It sounded like a cry of agony. It was a cry of agony but emotional not physical."

She then discovered that Quavo, another member of Migos and TakeOff's uncle, was the source of that cry. He was shouting for an ambulance and looking for aid. The nurse stated that she immediately raced to the trunk of her vehicle and retrieved her medical supplies to assist the injured victim, whom she later identified as TakeOff

She stated that his head was extremely elevated, and his eyes were rolled back and fixated. I observed a pool of blood behind his head. She stated that she repeatedly checked TakeOff's pulse, but he was already deceased.

Takeoff Rapper Cannot Be Saved with CPR

People on social media have claimed that she should have performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but she stated that it would not have helped particularly with a gunshot wound. With CPR, she would be recirculating the blood, which would immediately come out from the wound.

The nurse stated she had a son approximately the same age as TakeOff and has compassion for the family. She hopes that whoever shot him will come forward. She explained that she is sharing her tale because she hopes that something positive would result.

The nurse stated that she spoke with the Houston Police Department but was unable to provide any useful information because she was not present during the actual shooting. HPD stated that it is still attempting to identify potential suspects and encourages anyone with knowledge to come forward.
