Louis Tomlinson recently spoke about his old bandmate's incredible achievement.

Louis and four other lads, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, and Niall Horan, rose to popularity in 2010 after appearing on "The X Factor," becoming the first band from the program to break records globally and the first to attain this level of success.

Shortly after Zayn left, the band declared an extended sabbatical in 2016. They all went their separate ways and found individual success, including Louis, who is about to record his second solo album, "Faith in the Future."

Harry, on the other hand, released three albums and acted in three films. He also went on multiple sold-out stadium tours across the world.

However, in an interview, Louis discussed the achievements of his former bandmate.

He told The Telegraph, "I'd be lying if I said it [Harry's success] didn't bother me at first, only 'cos I didn't know where to place myself, and really my only point of reference was other members of the band."

But the 30-year-old noted that the "Watermelon Sugar" singer's commercial success was unsurprising since "he definitely fits the model of a current celebrity."

The Doncaster native said, "He's not just doing music, he's got film as well, and the [stadium] tour he's done is unbelievable."

"It took me a while to work out where I stand but I look on Harry like a brother, man. I have a lot of pride for what he's doing."

While Louis Tomlinson is proud of his "brother," the "Walls" singer has stated that he is not impressed with fanfiction made about him and his bandmates.

Louis even discussed the latest adaption of One Direction fanfiction from books to films, calling it "strange," but he knows there's nothing he can do about it.

This wasn't the first time the "Bigger Than Me" singer mentioned how bizarre fanfiction had become and how it had gone out of control.

In the past, after an animated sex scene of Louis and Harry appeared on HBO's "Euphoria," the former boyband star was enraged and claimed the production didn't contact him or get his permission for anything like this to be seen on TV screens.

As of this writing, only "After," a fanfiction created by Anna Todd, had been adapted into a film. It is primarily about Harry Styles.
