The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, thinks that her lifelong friend passed away in 2020 from a shattered heart following the untimely passing of her son, Benjamin Keough.

Fergie added that she was there to support and console Lisa Marie's three kids, Riley, 33, Finley, and Harper, twins, 14, who were left behind.
"I think we need to make sure Finley, Riley, and Harper are fully supported going forward."

Her health was clearly failing her, and she even seemed thin and fragile. Her sadness over her son's suicide was also evident.
Online, there are a lot of people who think Lisa Marie Presley passed away from Broken Heart Syndrome.
"She experienced it every day," as one Reddit user noted, "You know it is hard to simply move when overcome with sadness."
"I honestly feel that she was never happy and never at peace," another individual stated.
"She has acknowledged it in interviews. She was wealthy and well-known, but profoundly miserable. Her son's death robbed her of the end of her life," they said.
