Maverick City Music made a clean sweep at the 2023 Grammy Awards with all of their nominations.

Maverick City Music's Grammy Awards were composed of Best Gospel Album for "Kingdom Book One (Deluxe), Best Gospel Performance for "Kingdom," Best Contemporary Christian Album for "Breath," Best Contemporary Christian Performance/Song for "Fear is Not My Future."

The 8-member Gospel group won the Best Gospel Album and Best Gospel Performance with their album collaborator, Kirk Franklin, who already has 16 Grammy Awards up in his belt, all Gospel category awards.

"I'm super grateful to God and what He's able to do when you just decide to give your life to serve other people and uplift voices that are not normally heard. This album, for us, was one where we were able to go into Everglades Correctional Facility and minister to incarcerated people and let them know that God still loves them and still sees them no matter what," vocalist Naomi Raine said during one of their speeches.

This brings Maverick City Music's Grammy Awards to five. In 2022, they won Best Contemporary Christian Album with Elevation Worship for "Old Church Basement," marking their back-to-back win in the said category.

That was not the only back-to-back feat for the group. The gospel collective was also included in the 2023 Grammy Awards In Memoriam segment. They sang Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" with Quavo, who sang his song "Without You" as a tribute to his gunned-down friend and nephew, Takeoff.

Comments on the group and Quavo's performance have been well received.

"That performance had tear come out it was beautiful and nice amazing," a fan noted.

"Respect to Quavo for including Maverick City Music in this, God is good!!!" another user shared.

"Absolutely beautiful tribute. Still heartbroken over the loss of such a beautiful soul. Takeoff you will forever be missed greatly, and you will never be forgotten. Hopefully, Quavo and Offset can come together. Life is too short," someone pointed out.

"Im praying for his healing I can hear and see his pain it's so unbearable to him right now . He miss that kind of real love beside him. That kind of love is so painful . People keep talking about the music, I look beyond that and see a need ! He needs redemption," another commented.

The Gospel collective tied with Beyonce with four awards last night, making them the highest-awarded acts of the evening.
