Did Tom DeLonge use autotune at Coachella Festival 2023?

DeLonge formally reunited with the band in its first show at the Coachella Festival. The 2023 event marked the guitarist-vocalist's first performance with Blink-182 since dropping the 2011 "Neighborhoods."

While some celebrated his return, others turned sour as they noticed how he reportedly used autotune during the band's set.

Tom DeLonge Accused of Using Autotune at Coachella Festival 2023

Fans who attended the Coachella Festival uploaded the videos they took from the "What's My Age Again" hitmaker set. Some noted that the singer sounded "robotic" at times, leading the public to assume that he used autotune.

They noticed it even more during the band's "First Date" performance, during which DeLonge sang with a "reported obvious" pitch correction.

After the clips went viral, fans expressed their dismay on Twitter and called out the vocalist for using the audio processor - although Blink-182 has not commented about it.

One fan said, "The amount of autotune on Tom DeLonge's voice during that Blink performance at coachella should be illegal."

"Watched some of the blink-182 reunion, and the amount of autotune on Tom DeLonge's vocal was hilarious. Dude sounded like an AI version of himself," another added.

DeLonge officially reunited with Blink-182 years after he was replaced by Matt Skiba in 2015. He had also been open about the reunion in his interviews, even during his appearance on "The Late Late Show With James Corden."

He revealed at that time that they always talk about a reunion and playing together again, hyping fans by saying it was their common interest.

Blink-182 Reschedules South America Tour

Amid the autotune rumors, Blink-182 continues to focus on its music career. It recently announced the new schedules of its tour dates in Lima and Mexico City.

Blink-182 will now perform at Estadio San Marcos in Lima, Peru, on March 27, 2024. It will then have a now-four-day show at The Sports Palace in Mexico City on April 2, 3, and 5, with the show happening on April 6.
