Ever since Little Mix went on an indefinite hiatus, many fans have been waiting for its remaining members to drop their debut albums for them to hear a fresh new sound from the girls.

More recently, it has been reported that Perrie Edwards has been working on her first solo project and she got help from many people to experiment with her upcoming songs.

According to an insider who told the Sunday Mirror, as reported by the Corydon Times, the 29-year-old musician was said to be working at her home studio in Cheshire along with a "revolving door of hitmakers."

It was noted that she was teaming up with over 11 producers and songwriters, but only a few of them were named: Raye and Steve Mac.

Regarding the sound of her first solo music project, the insider added that Edwards is "experimenting with every sound out there and churning out hits."

To ensure fans that they would like the album and won't be disappointed when it gets released, the former "X-Factor" contestant only picks the best songs that will make it into the final tracklist.

Perrie Edwards New Song Coming Soon?

The outlet noted that the musician previously registered a song titled "Same Place, Different View," but she hasn't released any information about when it's coming out.

However, last year, she spoke with Official Charts to tease what she's up to lately.

"I'm just having so much fun experimenting with different sounds. It's really good. I'm so lucky, I'm working with such amazing people," she said.

The Little Mix member also noted in an interview with Grazia Magazine earlier this year that she's not rushing her new album and she doesn't have any specific timeline to abide because her record label wanted her to "just go with the flow."

"The fact there's no deadline in my life just makes me the happiest person. I feel so lucky to just be having fun," she said.

Perrie Edwards isn't the only member of the girl group who has been working on new music as her good pal, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, just announced her first-ever solo single.
