The Day 1 of the 2023 Glastonbury Festival was indeed a blast! We got to see Hozier and Foo Fighters perform in one day, after initially not being included in the setlist.

Well, it was hinted that The Foo Fighters will be making an appearance after they ingeniously teased "The Churnups" in a cryptic yet very obvious Instagram post; but as for Hozier, only a few people seemed to have an idea that it would happen.

Hozier Glastonbury Festival Performance

Foo Fighters Glastonbury Festival 2023 Performance

Well, the theories were right, "The Churnups" were really the Foo Fighters in disguise! Taking the Pyramid Stage by storm, Foo Fighters pulled out Violet Grohl as the band performed "Show Me How," which was a song that Dave Grohl revealed to be a song that she wrote for her mother. (via NME)

This was the first festival performance that the beloved rock band had without their late drummer, Taylor Hawkins. Singing "Everlong," Grohl explained that this was a song that they play as "their way of saying goodbye."

"But I would like to thank every one of you for sticking around for the last 28 years," Grohl thanked. "I'd like to dedicate this song to Mr Taylor Hawkins. So let's sing this one loud as shit for Mr Taylor."
