Everyone was so engrossed on Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's first official public date last weekend before heading to "Saturday Night Live." Among the many things that many have noticed was Kelce's protectiveness of Swift.
Some alleged that Kelce even pushed Swift's security detail aside to take over.
Did Travis Kelce Push Taylor Swift's Security Guard?
Just before Taylor Swift alighted the vehicle, her new beau, Travis Kelce did the gentleman's way and opened the car door for her.
In a video of her arrival in New York, Travis went over to Taylor's side of the vehicle. In doing so, he puts his hand on a security guard's back. Some people alleged that it was Kelce pushing the security detail aside, asserting his dominance. (via The Daily Mail)
In a recent podcast episode of "New Heights," Travis clarified this ongoing rumor.
"Pushing him out the way? I didn't push him!' Kelce exclaimed. "I placed my hand on the gentleman's back to let him know I was behind him. If I would have pushed him, he probably would have turned around and tased me."
If one would closely watch the video, Kelce light-handedly touched the security guard in the back as a sign of courtesy.
"It was more like 'Good sir, would you excuse me? I need to get the door. Sorry. Right behind you. Don't want to startle you. I know it's your job to keep crazy people away and if you get randomly pushed in the back while standing in front of a door, that could probably be a little alarming'" Travis explained.
Elsewhere in their conversation, Jason pressed further if Travis feels like a security guard to the global popstar whenever they're out together.
Travis' response was very candid: "I feel like when I'm on a date I feel the sense of: 'I'm a man in this situation; I'm protective. Yeah, for sure. You always kind of have that feeling or that self-awareness I guess."

Travis Kelce Overprotective Of Taylor Swift
According to an Entertainment Tonight source, Travis Kelce allegedly told Taylor Swift's security guard that "he could step aside" as "he'd take it" from there.
Fans seemed to like the grand gesture that Kelce has given Swift, considering the woman's stature today. Sources say that the couple has been "hand-sy" throughout their date, which extends until 4:00 a.m. when they attended the "Saturday Night Live" after-party.
