Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, 34, currently dating Taylor Swift, faced criticism on a recent episode of "The View."

While Alyssa Farah Griffin supported the couple, co-hosts Sara Haines and Sunny Hostin expressed reservations, in a report by Page Six.

Sunny raised concerns about Travis' recent interview with WSJ Magazine, stating, "Some of the things he said raised some red flags for me."

Sunny questioned whether Travis might be hiding something in his relationship with the "Lavender Haze" singer, referring to his statement, "Make sure I don't say anything that would push Taylor away."

She expressed a desire to know both the positive and negative aspects upfront. Additionally, Sunny questioned Travis' decision to have his representative ensure he didn't offend Taylor during the interview.

Sara also shared her apprehension, mainly focusing on the athlete's emphasis on retirement.

She quoted him admitting to thinking about retirement "more than anyone could ever imagine" and pointed out his stature in the NFL world.

Sara suggested that considering Travis' popularity in the football domain, a transition to Taylor Swift's world might be a favorable next chapter.

Sunny supported Sara's perspective, describing it as a "very comfortable next chapter." The latter then suggested that Travis seems "looking for a second act" within his relationship with the Grammy winner.

Alyssa joined the conversation, cautioning the Grammy award-winning singer about the challenges of finding people with the right intentions at the level of celebrity they both occupy. She wished them well but advised Taylor to be careful.

"The View" co-hosts' opinions emerged a day after Travis Kelce's cover story for WSJ. The magazine was published.

In the interview, Travis Kelce shared his experience dating someone as famous as Taylor Swift, acknowledging the challenges of the constant scrutiny and paparazzi attention.

Despite the concerns raised on the show, Travis emphasized that he is not running away from the unique aspects of Taylor's fame.

Other 'Red Flags'

Travis Kelce is currently in the public eye due to his relationship with singer Taylor Swift. Despite his sports success and previous experience in reality TV on E!'s "Catching Kelce" in 2016, where he chose a girlfriend from a pool of 50 women, some aspects of his past are drawing attention.

In the competition, the tight end faced awkward moments, such as addressing contestants by their state names and making critiques about confidence.

Despite the show's premise of finding love, Travis openly admitted on the "Dan Patrick Show" in 2017 that he did not find love on the show, and despite the romantic overtones, the show provided an opportunity for him to explore connections without the expectation of a lasting relationship.
