Broadway Musicals You Need To Watch In 2024

Water for Elephants at the Imperial Theatre

With previews starting in February 2024, the critically acclaimed bestselling novel "Water For Elephants" is coming to Broadway. The show stars "The Flash" actor Grant Gustin and "The Prom" actress Isabelle McCalla.

"After losing what matters most, a young man jumps a moving train unsure of where the road will take him and finds a new home with the remarkable crew of a traveling circus and a life-and love-beyond his wildest dreams," the release for the musical reads.

Hell's Kitchen at the Shubert Theatre

An offspring of Alicia Keys' mind work and talent, "Hell's Kitchen" is set to open on April 2024 with previews starting as early as March 2024. As of this writing, the cast for "Hell's Kitchen" hasn't been announced yet.

"There's a place where the rhythm of the city is music, where every corner has a story, and every window is a kaleidoscope. Where a girl can step out of her apartment and find the world. That's Hell's Kitchen, a new musical from 15-time Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys that's about to make Broadway feel brand new," the musical reads.

The Wiz at the Marquis Theatre

Starting in March 2024, the beloved musical, "The Wiz" is returning to Broadway, 50 years since it debuted.

The seven-time Tony Award-winning musical stars Nichelle Lewis as Dorothy, Wayne Brady as The Wiz, Deborah Cox as Glinda, and Melody Betts as Evilene. The 1975 production won Best Musical, Best Original Score, Best Featured Actor and Actress, Best Direction, Choreography, and Costume Design.

Cabaret at the August Wilson Theatre

Replacing "Funny Girl" at the August Wilson Theatre, "Cabaret" will be featuring Academy and Tony-winning actor Eddie Redmayne and Gayle Rankin.

"Willkommen. Bienvenue. Welcome to the Kit Kat Club. Home to an intimate and electrifying new production of Cabaret. Experience this groundbreaking musical like never before. The denizens of the Kit Kat Club have created a decadent sanctuary inside Broadway's August Wilson Theatre, where artists and performers, misfits and outsiders rule the night. Step inside their world. This is Berlin. Relax. Loosen up. Be yourself," the description said about the show.
