Taylor Swift is establishing a closer relationship with NFL girlfriends and wives amid her romance with Travis Kelce.
Whenever Swift attends Kansas City Chiefs games, she either sits with Kelce's parents, her father, her celebrity friends or the players' partners. She mostly appears in the same frame with the Chiefs' quarterback Patrick Mahomes' wife, Brittany Mahomes.
Taylor Swift and NFL Wives Are BFFs!
A source told In Touch (via OK! Magazine) that Swift made an effort to know the WAGs, and the NFL beauties appreciated it. In fact, the "Lover" singer received love and praise for her sweet and caring behavior.
"The players' wives were kind of starstruck at first, but now they're all besties with her, especially Brittany Mahomes," the insider continued. "It's like Taylor was born to be a football wife."
Swift and Brittany have also been spotted outside the arenas, having date nights with the pop star's celebrity girl friends. The "Look What You Made Me Do" songstress also hosted a watch party for the Chiefs WAGs at her New York City apartment in November 2023 to support their boyfriends and husbands during the Chiefs' game against the Miami Dolphins.
The besties' appearances and interactions dismissed the previous reports that Swift was distancing herself from Brittany after the latter allegedly leaked information about their hangouts.
The buzz started when a man named Jake called 98.5 The Sports Hub's Zolak & Bertrand radio show and revealed he had a tip about Swift attending a game at the Gillette Stadium on December 17.
"Let's break some news. She's coming Sunday. Done deal," the caller claimed, adding that he found out about the status of Swift and Mahomes' friendship. "One of the sources I have is saying she doesn't want to be with Brittany Mahomes. I don't know why."
Celebrity gossip page Deuxmoi also shared the news on Instagram Story to "confirm" Swift was "distancing herself."
The alleged status reportedly put Kelce in an awkward situation. However, the rumors had since been dismissed by Swift and Brittany's public get-togethers.
On the other hand, Swifties are not fully supportive of their friendship as Brittany notoriously bashed the singer in the past, including the time she tweeted, "Taylor swift winning everything <<<<" and "Taylor swift..I wanna know when your gonna find something different to write about besides boys and relationships."
