6ix9ine Arrested in Dominican Republic for Domestic Violence

The Associated Press reported that rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, formally known as Daniel Hernández, has been arrested by police in Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic over domestic violence charges.

As of press time, additional details of 6ix9ine's arrest haven't been disclosed to the media but a judge would reportedly decide whether he will remain in jail or to be released on bond.

Meanwhile, TMZ obtained information that 6ix9ine's girlfriend, Yailin had hit him with a 2x4 in his car after breaking the car's windshield. Yailin explained that she did that to cause the rapper financial hardship" after he allegedly took some of her money and passport.

Yailin was arrested for aggravated battery, witness tampering, and felony criminal mischief. However, 6ix9ine paid for Yailin's $9,000 bond, only for her to accuse 6ix9ine of crimes, leading to his arrest.

"What an injustice truly ... Everything you see is not how it appears to be," Yailin shared on her Instagramn

She also reposted a tweet that alleged Tekashi had hit her in the past and then would start recording to get her reaction afterward.

Unbeknownst to many, this wasn't 6ix9ine's first run-in with the law in the Dominican Republic as he was also arrested in 2023 for assault.

6ix9ine Arrested in Dominic Republic

According to TMZ Español, Tekashi 6ix9ine, has been arrested in the Dominican Republic for allegedly beating music producer last October 2023.

Per the outlet, the "GOOBA" hitmaker was arrested Sunday night in the province of Samana, specifically at the Balcones del Atlántico Hotel in Sanchez.

6ix9ine apparently got jealous when he arrived at the studio, seeing Yailin with music producers, and spending time together.

In true 6ix9ine fashion, he attempted to flee the country after the beatdown. However, the charter flight intercepted him as they followed protocol and held him down. He was served with a pending arrest warrant, which per immigration laws in the Dominican Republic, could be a reason for him to be removed from the plane.

Details of how he was released back then have been scarce, but it seemed to be a pattern of the notorious rapper to evade authorities and police enforcement, even in the United States.
