Court documents have revealed that the case against Anthony Maldonado, allegedly involved in a violent attack on Tekashi 6ix9ine at an LA Fitness in Lake Worth, Florida, last month, has been dropped.

XXL claimed that the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office has decided not to pursue any charges regarding this incident.

Law enforcement apprehended three individuals on March 30, including 25-year-old Maldonado.

He has been charged with assault and robbery as well as 43-year-old Rafael Medina Jr., who is a reportedly high-ranking member of the Latin Kings gang.

In an interview with internet personality 1090 Jake on Instagram Liveearlier this week, Maldonado announced the end of his legal battle, revealing that all charges against him have been dropped.

He vehemently denied any blame for the incident, asserting that he was merely a victim of mistaken identity.

He further claimed, "I literally am so confused by the whole situation."

"I walk out the house and literally they have six detectives outside, everybody with assault rifles, German Shepherds and stuff, walking me out like a killer in front of all my neighbors."

He spoke of his visit to the police station, "It was far from satisfactory. No questions were asked about my whereabouts that night or who I was with - all I got was 'You match the suspect in this video', referring to security footage from within the gym."

Maldonado clarified that law enforcement had accused him of using his gym membership to let Rafael and Octavious Medina in.

Still, he maintained he was "at my abode getting ready for Bible class" at the time of the incident and has "eight individuals who can confirm my story."

Breaking his silence over the incident last month, Tekashi 6ix9ine expressed his sentiment on Instagram as he referred to those involved in the attack as "cowardly."

In a classic example of making the most out of an unfortunate situation, the famed rainbow-haired rapper released a music video for "Bori" shortly after being jumped.

The video featured medical attention he received in the hospital and generous donations of fifty thousand dollars to locals in Cuba.

Tekashi 6ix9ine has capitalized on his ill fortune and used it to further his career.

To this end, a video was uploaded to Instagram where the "LA Fitness challenge" took place - in the clip, people could be seen swinging a bikini-clad individual around like a jump rope as another tried to jump over them.
