  • New 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Trailer Uses Own Popularity to Sell Itself

The film release of "Fifty Shades of Grey" is now less than two weeks away, so of course it bought commercial air time during last night's Super Bowl to remind viewers that Christian Grey's arrival is imminent. While there was much new visually, the new trailer has certainly taken a new approach to make people curious. Basically, "Fifty" used its own popularity to sell itself, said Yahoo.

The actor is covering the latest issue of "Variety" and discloses a bunch of interesting little nuggets for fans. • New 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Trailer Released After Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson Had No Chemistry at Golden Globes

In about a month, "Fifty Shades of Grey" is finally going to premiere in theaters nationwide and then, after years of speculation, we will finally all know whether or not this movie actually works. There has been so much chatter about every aspect of it — from the casting to whether or not it can possibly live up to the book with an R rating — that the bar has been set extremely high. Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele will really have their work cut out for them. Both actors were on hand to present an award at the Golden Globes last night, Jan. 11. It was a chance to put Dornan and Johnson together in the same place at the same time, to build up a bit of anticipation for the film. If there time together onstage was any indication of how they relate to one another, "Fifty Shades of Grey" might be the most awkward thing to hit theaters this year. Of course, nerves may have been a factor in their presentation, but after hearing that chemistry had been an issue during filming, well, last night it kind of felt like that might be true, and without chemistry this film is going nowhere.
  • Jamie Dornan Says 'Fifty Shades of Grey' is a Love Story

So many women will be running to the movie theaters on Feb. 13 to check out "Fifty Shades of Grey" primarily because of how hot the book series is. There is this immense hope that somehow the film adaptation will do the BDSM book enough justice to ensure that the rest of the trilogy also finds its' way to the big screen. The pressure is really on Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson to not only breathe life into the characters of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, but also to crank up the heat.
