Fifty Shades of Grey better live up to all of the hype because just yesterday it was announced that the two sequels, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed are officially getting their own film adaptations based on the book series by E.L. James. Sam Taylor-Johnson, the director of Fifty, announced the news to a bunch of fans that had gathered at New York City's Ziegfeld Theater on Friday morning for a screening that included appearances by Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.

The two, who play Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, have caught some heat for appearing to have absolutely no chemistry onscreen. They must flip a switch to turn it on when those cameras are rolling though, otherwise it seems unlikely that not only one, but two other films would already be bankrolled already. Friday morning's screening was filled with adoring fans and the reaction from them was a real relief to Johnson, who told Access Hollywood:

"It's so relieving. I just hope that they enjoy the film and I know I've been waiting for so long and I know they've been waiting for so long and we've been working on this for so long and now it's just so nice to let it go."

If Fifty Shades of Grey was mediocre and the chemistry was way off, wouldn't we have heard something solid by now since a decent number of people have attended a screening? Do you think that perhaps this film adaptation has really done the impossible? Have they managed to walk the line between BDSM and it being the "love story" that Dornan has claimed, leaving viewers satisfied? Will you be heading to the theater next weekend to find out for yourself? Or are you waiting for some solid reviews before you commit to the experience? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
