Jamie Dornan might be on the verge of something really huge, and he is the first to admit that even he does not know what to expect once Fifty Shades of Grey finally premieres in theaters. The actor is covering the latest issue of Variety and discloses a bunch of interesting little nuggets for fans. Like the fact that he actually met with Robert Pattinson to discuss what it is like to star in what could become a huge franchise. Dornan said the two ended up getting drunk together and bonded that way.

In other interviews the actor has referred to Fifty Shades as ultimately being a love story. It seems that everyone who worked on the film adaptation was running on that premise and, according to the Variety article, it was never going to get an NC-17 rating. E.L. James, the mastermind behind the book series, wanted to walk right up to that line but never cross it on camera.

"Fifty Shades of Grey is first and foremost a romantic love story, and sex is only part of that. People who haven't read the books might be surprised that there isn't more sex on the screen, but that's because they've gone by media reports of Fifty Shades, which have tended to err on the side of the sensational. I'm pretty sure the millions of fans who have read the trilogy will think there is enough sex," explained James.

Dornan's uncertainty in terms of what comes next actually is perfectly logical. Either Fifty is going to make a killing at the box office, making him and Dakota Johnson the hottest things around, or else it will fail miserable and he will have to scramble to crawl out from beneath the rubble?
