Soap fans were absolutely thrilled last month when it was confirmed that Rebecca Budig would be returning to daytime television. She was last seen on "All My Children" as Greenlee Smythe, an edgy character played to perfection and adored by millions of soap fans that have hoped that she would pop up again somewhere. Soap fans are absolutely thrilled to hear that Rebecca Budig is on her way back to daytime television. She is best known for her portrayal of Greenlee Smythe on 'All My Children' from 1999 to 2011, and it was a role that gave the actress two Daytime Emmy nominations. In the years since last appearing on soaps, Budig has been seen as a syndicated talk show host on 'The Better Show' and just gave birth to her first child, Charlotte Jo Benson, last fall. Budig is joining 'General Hospital' to play a new character, who head writer Ron Carlivati described as "a real spitfire."
