Casey Kasem's body is still not buried a month after his death, the NY Daily News reports. Part of the reason, their sources say, is because Kasem's wife, Jean Kasem, arranged a private autopsy due to claims of elder abuse.

Jean reportedly paid for the private autopsy after her husband's death on June 15. He was transferred to a mortuary in Washington state, where he allegedly still remains.

Kasem's daughter Kerri Kasem filed a formal police report in Santa Monica, California, after the death claiming that her estranged step-mother "hastened Kasem's demise" by removing him from a nursing home in the middle of the night against doctor's orders.

The Santa Monica Police are now aware of the private autopsy and have sent a letter to Washington authorities to try to schedule an official state autopsy.

Casey Kasem died on Father's Day at St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, Washington after a battle with Lewy Body Disease and sepsis related to an infected bed sore.
