Taylor Swift was not able to wish Travis Kelce luck allegedly because of this NFL rule. Taylor Swift arrived back in the US on Saturday, but she took her time seeing her boyfriend Travis Kelce.
The music icon decided to head back to Los Angeles after her performance this past weekend in Tokyo, Japan.
It was an unexpected decision given that she was scheduled to watch Sunday's Super Bowl in Las Vegas; however, TMZ believes that it may have been motivated by an alleged NFL rule prohibiting players from spending the night before a major game with their wives or girlfriends.
Swift stayed at home in Los Angeles on Saturday night due to the purported edict, before going to the Sin City to support the Kansas City Chiefs.
The 34-year-old singer of "Bad Blood" concluded her final Eras Tour show in Japan on Saturday night, at which point she started her frantic flight back to the US.
Journalists watched minivans arrive at Haneda Airport an hour after the presentation concluded, and they saw that "four or five people carrying large black umbrellas obstructed the view of the person."
To return in time for Super Bowl LVIII, she had to cross multiple time zones. She will be sitting in a VIP suite with her parents, brother, and his girlfriend, as well as Kelce's parents, brother, and sister-in-law. Kelce paid for the suite.
All of this is water under the bridge now though.
