Three men were arrested for cheating and trespassing at Singapore National Stadium during Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour dates in the region.

Security for the tour in Singapore seems to be getting stricter, despite conflicting reports on social media.

Three Men Arrested In Taylor Swift 'The Eras' Tour Singapore

BBC reported a man named Yang Chenguang allegedly distracted security personnel by talking to them, while his accomplice, Li Xiao Wei, held a security turnstile to allow entry to the stadium. The incident occurred on the third night of Taylor Swift's shows in Singapore.

The two men were charged with cheating and trespassing. A third accomplice has not been charged yet.

"On 4 March 2024 at about 7.40pm, the Police received a report that several individuals had entered the concert premises at Singapore Sports Hub without authorisation. Preliminary investigations revealed that the three men were allegedly involved in facilitating the unauthorised entry for the group of four individuals who was not in possession of legitimate concert tickets," the Singaporean police said in a statement.

BBC also noted that one of the fans who snuck into the venue was Chinese influencer Yang Junhao, who denied involvement and information about the illegal entry, pointing out that he received counterfeit tickets.

"This is me after being told I bought fake tickets, and was brought out [of the concert] to be interrogated by the police... I pleaded with the police to let me stay outside the venue so that I can hear Taylor's voice," he said in a video posted on Douyin, China's version of TikTok, Variety reports. "I spent 12,000 yuan ($1,700) on the ticket and didn't know it was fake even after I entered the concert. I only realized it after officers brought us out... I am also a victim, I am stuck in Singapore and assisting in the investigation. It's a difficult situation."

According to Singapore's laws, the two arrested men could be imprisoned for three years, fined, or both if proven guilty. As of this writing, an investigation is being carried out.

The Eras Tour Singapore Security Unattended?

Meanwhile, on X (formerly Twitter), some fans have complained about the loose security measures employed at the National Stadium in Singapore.

"Swifties from all around the world paid SO much money to come see Taylor on tour. Being the only country she's performing in Southeast Asia, we need to be better. The money that people spent on VIP, security needs to be stricter. CAT 1 / 2 people SHOULD NOT be allowed at the VIP section. Isn't there a reason why we paid $900 more?" a fan tweeted.

Some even complained that people from different areas of the venue moved freely from restricted sections, and some even stood in their seats despite being instructed not to.
