Elton John is making a big comeback in the music scene a year after his farewell tour.

The Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter is considering creating a jukebox musical showcasing his impressive collection of songs.

The 76-year-old is playing with the possibility of bringing beloved classics such as to the stage.

Elton John Beyond the Farewell

During the 32nd annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars viewing party, David Furnish, Elton John's husband, made some new revelations.

David told The Sun, "A catalogue musical, we are always looking at it. I haven't found anything yet that really covers... I think if we wanted to do it, we would want to do it in a way that was really innovative and really exciting and different."

"We're open to any great ideas and it's a wonderful catalogue. But at the moment, with the two other musicals, we're quite busy as it is."

His highly anticipated "Devil Wears Prada" production will debut in Plymouth in July, while his Broadway musical"Tammy Faye," centered around the iconic televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker, is scheduled for later this year.

Having undergone a knee replacement earlier this year, the "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" hitmaker was regrettably unable to grace the red carpet at his event.

Another surgery for his other knee is set for the upcoming month.

In the latest update about his husband's health, David shared, "The progress is remarkable. He is scheduled for another knee surgery in a few weeks, and by summer, he will be equipped with two brand new, top-notch knees."

"I think you'll see him breakdancing down the carpet next year."

David also playfully hinted at his imminent return to the stage for fans eagerly awaiting his performance.

Sharing his thoughts, he remarked, "Elton may not be looking to outdo Glastonbury anytime soon. With his touring days behind him, I doubt he's ready to bid farewell to performing altogether."

"I think he's going to take advantage of the opportunity to do little shows now and again, but he's not going to tour anymore. He's done that for 50 years and enjoys being at home with his family."

"We are launching two stage musicals this year, a documentary on Disney+, and opening a photo exhibition at the V&A in May, so it's still hectic."

"It hasn't exactly slowed down in the Furnish-John household."
