Beyoncé's youngest daughter is already making waves in the music industry.

Saughter Rumi has set a new record as the youngest female artist to debut on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, as disclosed by Billboard earlier this week.

At six years old, Rumi achieved a remarkable feat by making a guest appearance on Beyoncé's song "Protector," highlighted on her latest bestselling record, Cowboy Carter.

Beyoncé's Daughter Rumi Achieves Billboard Milestone

Beyoncé's song "Protector" surpassed the previous record set by Rumi's older sister, Blue Ivy, who made history as the youngest female artist on the charts back in 2019 at just seven years old, featuring in her mother's hit song "Brown Skin Girl."

In "Protector," segment showcasing Rumi's voice, found on the fourth song of the album, opens the song.

Rumi opted out of singing and rapping, taking center stage in what appears to be a modified home recording.

The six-year-old shyly requests, "Mom, can I hear the lullaby please?" in a soft voice tinged with innocence.

"Protector" entered at the top 42 on the Hot 100 chart, capturing 11.3 million streams across the United States during its debut week.

Even though Rumi has outshined Blue Ivy's achievement on the Hot 100 chart, breaking records for the youngest female artist to grace any Billboard chart remains out of reach compared to her older sister's milestone.

Blue Ivy Did It First

Blue Ivy debuted on Jay Z's song "Glory" in 2012. This single captured the essence of her arrival into the world, recording her heartbeat and first cries.

Released a mere two days after the "Single Ladies" singer welcomed Blue Ivy, the song reached number 63 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and number 23 on the Hot Rap Songs chart.

Cowboy Carter Success

Beyoncé achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Black woman to reach the number one spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart with Cowboy Carter.

The album has risen to the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart and the Americana/Folk Albums chart, boasting an impressive 407,000 equivalent album units sold.

This marks the most significant sales week of 2024 so far.

Her eighth album also reached the pinnacle of the Billboard 200 albums chart, solidifying her status as a chart-topping artist once again.
