Taylor Swift is once again showing love for one of music's biggest legends. The pop superstar praised Paul McCartney's new album The Boys of Dungeon Lane, calling him an "eternally exceptional artist" in a heartfelt social media post.

Swift, 36, shared McCartney's album announcement on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, June 2, adding her own message for fans along with a flexed arm emoji.

"Never not inspired by this eternally exceptional artist," she wrote, highlighting her continued admiration for the former Beatle.

McCartney, 83, recently released The Boys of Dungeon Lane, his latest solo project, which has already drawn attention from fans and fellow musicians alike.

Swift's public praise added another moment to the long-running mutual respect between the two songwriters. Their connection goes back years. In a 2020 Rolling Stone conversation, Swift and McCartney interviewed each other about songwriting, fame, and creativity.

According to RollingStone, during that talk, McCartney reflected on Swift's global success and said she likely didn't need advice from him, though he would be happy to give it if she ever asked.

"You do see the parallel, you know the fame and the amount of fame," McCartney said at the time, comparing their careers. "But I don't think she needs any advice to tell you the truth."

Swift, in turn, praised McCartney's musical skill and his ability to create entire projects on his own. McCartney responded with a humble explanation about his creative process, saying much of his talent came from years of experimenting with instruments he grew up around.

Their professional respect has also turned into real-life moments over the years. McCartney attended Swift's Eras Tour stop at London's Wembley Stadium in 2024, where he was seen enjoying the show and dancing along with the crowd, Billboard reported.

The pair also shared the stage briefly in 2015 at a special "Saturday Night Live" anniversary event. Both artists continue to stay active in music. McCartney's latest album marks his first solo release in several years, while Swift has remained busy with re-recordings, original albums, and upcoming projects.

This week, Swift is also preparing to release a new song titled "I Knew It, I Knew You" for the "Toy Story 5" soundtrack.
