Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are taking their relationship more seriously than ever, with sources saying the pair are now thinking long-term, blending their families, and building a shared future despite living in different countries.
According to insiders speaking to Us Weekly, the couple—who first went public with their relationship in July 2025—have been growing closer over the past several months and are now approaching a major milestone in their romance.
"Things between Katy and Justin are very serious," one source said. The insider added that Perry "wasn't expecting to jump into another relationship anytime soon" after her split from Orlando Bloom, but Trudeau "completely caught her by surprise." The source explained that the pair's connection developed naturally and quickly, with both reportedly making efforts to integrate their lives.
Perry has even introduced her 5-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, to Trudeau's three children—Xavier, Hadrien, and Ella-Grace—whom he shares with his estranged wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.
"They both feel it's important to blend their families thoughtfully and at a comfortable pace," the insider said, noting that the relationship has deepened as they approach their first anniversary together.

Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau Still Strong
Perry, 41, is said to be "really happy right now," while Trudeau, 54, has been described as making strong efforts to stay present despite their busy schedules. Those close to the couple say they are committed to making things work even with the distance between them.
"Katy loves that Justin laughs at her jokes and understands her quirky humor," another source shared. "Her friends think he's a good match for her. The future is definitely something they've talked about."
Trudeau has also reportedly shown Perry his new Montreal home, a $3.1 million property located just blocks from where he previously lived with his estranged wife, Page Six reported. The house is said to be large enough to accommodate a blended family setup, signaling long-term thinking in the relationship.
However, the couple is still navigating a long-distance dynamic. Perry continues to consider California her home base while co-parenting Daisy with Orlando Bloom.
Despite the physical distance, insiders say it "hasn't been an issue," with the pair making time to see each other regularly.
