Superstar DJ deadmau5 was convinced to play a show as part of the Honda Summer Conert Series by Honda and Live Nation. The set was played to a packed crowd of lucky winners at The Knockdown Center in Queens, NY who were able to enter the giveaway quickly to see deadmau5 for free. That set was also streamed online to thousands of viewers and someone was kind enough to post the set online for everyone to view and listen.
His hour and a half set did not feature any tease at what his upcoming visuals might be, but he played some tunes similar to what he did with Eric Prydz over Halloween in Los Angeles for Hard Day Of The Dead. With his 5 Years Of Mau5 compilation on the horizon and set for release in less then two weeks, deadmau5 shows off some of the unreleased remixes found on the EP. The title of the show emphasized the new EP, so it made sense for him to dive deep into the EP.
It is reportedly his last set of the year as he goes into hiding before his upcoming "Entropy" Tour, but he will probably see him out again somewhere for New Years Eve. It is another live set from deadmau5 that has made its way onto the internet, something you don't see often unless you are a member of his deadmau5 live website.
The Canadian producer/DJ released his 25-track artist album while (1<2), and now is ready to take that and the upcoming bath of remixes on the road for real. He hasn't done a real world tour with his own production since his Meowingtons Hax tour in 2011. In 2015 he will bring that back with brand new production and a design that will be "bigger than Bon Jovi" according to his interview with Zane Lowe over the summer.
