Wendy Williams' recently debuted the Aaliyah biopic and she has caught flack from just about everyone, including Timbaland, who called the movie 'bulls--t' via social media. The television host decided to respond to the film's critics on her morning show.

Despite the fact that the movie received no support from the late singer's family and lost its original lead actress early on, Williams shot down her critics during the Hot Topics forum of her show. She even took the opportunity to brag about the ratings of Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B.

"I see my Aaliyah movie broke the Internet this weekend! Errbody got an opinion. Well, I must tell you, whether you loved or hate, you watched," Williams said.

As noted by Vibe, she reminded everyone that the movie would be shown again at another date and congratulated Alexandra Shipp on her portrayal of the "One In A Million" singer. Shipp was cast as Aaliyah after actress/singer Zendaya Coleman dropped out of the role. Coleman said lack of production value and music rights were the main reasons she exited the cast.

Back in June, Aaliyah's family attempted to stop production of the Lifetime biopic. According to TMZ, the family was angry that no one from Lifetime contacted them about the movie.

During the film's premiere, Timbaland took to his Instagram accounts to voice his displeasure and respond to fans curious if he was actually watching the film.

"A lot of people keep asking me if I'm watching that bullsh*t. Evidently not," he said. "No way. Not Timbo. People, thanks for the comments tonight on that bullsh*t Aaliyah movie. They have felt Timbo's wrath tonight, baby, and that's it."
