Bastille's upcoming mixtape VS. (Other People's Heartache, Pt. III) is set for release on Dec. 8, but yesterday, Nov. 27, the British quartet shared one of the album's tracks "Bite Down," featuring L.A. trio Haim, which you can check out below. The track is a slick electro-rock hybrid with some pretty inventive production choices and an upbeat, harmonically rich chorus.

"Bite Down" will be included on Bastille's VS. (Other People's Heartache, Pt. III) mixtape, in which all but one of the tracks features guest appearances by artists such as Angel Haze, The Gemma Sharples Quartet, Mnek, and more.

"When it comes to working with people, it's about making room for others," Bastille frontman Dan Smith told DIY about the mixtape. "There's no egos involved. It's never like, 'F**k you I want two verses.' When Haim came in, they all sang, Danielle played guitar because she's wicked at it. Este did some bass stuff, we did some programming, I wrote it but it all actually happened in one evening. Three or four hours."

Bastille's most recent full-length release was their debut studio album Bad Blood, which was released in March 2013 and spawned six singles: "Overjoyed," "Bad Blood," "Flaws," "Pompeii," "Laura Palmer," and "Things We Lost in the Fire." They are currently at work on a new studio album, which according to an interview with Digital Spy will be more "guitar-heavy."

"[O]ur next album...is moving into using guitars more, because we didn't use any on the first album," Smith said, "We're really interested in trying not to repeat ourselves and within the set having a lot of variety as well, because it just reflects the sort of music that we're into."
