Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine shared his concerns over the disappearance of his mother-in-law, Sally Estabrook, in October. Sadly, police in San Diego found Estabrook's body Wednesday (November 26) less than a mile from her home. Foul play was ruled out and the death was most likely a result of natural causes, CBS8 notes. Estabrook reportedly suffered from Alzheimer's.

The 75-year-old went missing October 4 after she wondered away from her home in Julian, Califorina, while her husband was in the shower. She was the mother of Mustaine's wife, Pam.

"Yesterday evening I received a call that a person had located a body and the investigators from SDSD Homicide Division described our beloved mother, Sally Estabrook. Thank you all for your prayers, your good thoughts, and positive vibes," the rock star posted on Facebook Thursday (November 27).

Mustaine took to Twitter after his mother-in-law disappeared to ask for positive thoughts from fans. "Please send good thoughts to Pam, and prayers from those of you who pray, as we search for her mom," he tweeted.

The singer spoke to Loudwire about how Estabrook's Alzheimer's diagnosis affected the songwriting for Megadeth's 2013 release, Super Collider. "Until it happens to you, you really have no idea," he said. "And I think that when I saw how upset our family became and yet how we are able to provide the resources for her, it made me think about all the families going through this that don't have the resources to take care of a loved one. "I put my emotions into my music." An autopsy is pending.
