There's some good news for U2 fans in New York, Chicago, Boston, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Berlin and Paris: new concert dates have been added in those cities for the iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour. Just days after announcing the original round of shows, today (Dec. 9), Bono and co. announced an additional two shows in each of those cities due to fan demand.
"Following overwhelming fan demand, including a record-setting 118,000 fans queuing online to purchase tickets in New York, two new shows have been confirmed in New York, Boston, Montreal, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Berlin & Paris," U2 said in a statement on its official website.
The additional shows will mark six nights for U2 in New York City and four in the other added markets.
The new tour dates, like the rest of U2's iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour, were added in pairs. The first show in each city will reflect "innocence" with one setlist, and the second show will reflect "experience."
Tickets for the added shows will go on sale for U2.com subscribers on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 10 a.m. The shows will go on sale for the public on Monday, Dec. 15.
