Though The Psychedelic Furs reunited in 2000, their most recent studio album The World Outside was released all the way back in 1991. Since then, the band has released two live albums: 1997's Radio One Sessions, and 2001's Beautiful Chaos: Greatest Hits Live. However, according to bassist Tim Butler in an interview with TA Live back in March, the band is currently at work on a new album.

"It's a work in progress," Butler revealed. "We're currently playing two new songs that will be on it, and we're in rehearsals to get them sounding good enough to record."

When asked how touring has changed since the band's '80s heydey, Butler says that "It's a business now."

"It used to be that no one really cared much about merchandising, and didn't know they could make money off of promotions," he continued. "Nowadays it's all big business. You've got business that run the rental companies, lawyers, accountants all just for the band."
