The latest rapper to have his album release date pushed back is Tyga, whose upcoming album The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty was most recently set for release today, Dec. 23, though that obviously hasn't happened (it was originally set for Nov. 18). Instead of dropping the album today, however, Tyga took to his Twitter account to announce that the album has been made available for pre-order, and revealed its actual release date: Jan. 27. You can pre-order Tyga's The Gold Album right here.

This new release date comes after a tense year between Tyga and his old label Young Money. Back in October, the Compton rapper took to his Twitter account to confirm that The Gold Album was done, but that Young Money was holding him "hostage." "Might just leak it for my fans," he threatened.

Shortly after that message, Tyga admitted in an interview with Vibe that he doesn't get along with his labelmates Drake or Nicki Minaj. "I don't like Drake as a person," he said, "He's just fake to me...I think his music is good, but we're all different people."

The Gold Album will be Tyga's fourth studio album overall, his first album since 2013's Hotel California. Four singles have been shared from The Gold Album so far: "Wait for a Minute" featuring Justin Bieber, ""Hookah" featuring Young Thug, "Real Deal," and "40 Mill."

Last week, Tyga revealed the artwork for The Gold Album through his Instagram account, which was carved out of real gold and co-designed by Kanye West, who is also the album's executive producer. You can check out the album cover right here.
